Win Satellite Entry Into The WSOP 2007 Main Event:Buy-In As Low As $1.70

As many of you know, the WSOP Main Event is set to take place July 6 - 17, 2007, at Harrah's Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada. The buy-in for the Main Event of this prestigious poker tournament is quite high, $10,000 to be exact, but there's another way poker players can gain entry; by winning a Satellite Tournament.

A Satellite, or Feeder Tournament is a smaller tournament that grants the winner a seat in a larger tournament. Many times, several smaller tournaments are strung together to funnel a group of winners into the larger, high-stakes tournament. Instead of receiving a cash prize for winning these tournaments, the prize will pay the buy-in for entry into the larger tournament.

The main purpose of entering into a Satellite Tournament is to pay a much lower buy-in, with the prize-pool of the smaller tournament paying the buy-in for the larger tournament. In this manner, one could win their way to the WSOP for a fraction of the buy-in cost. How does $1.70 buy-in sound?

Several online poker rooms are offering Satellite Tournaments and Super Satellite Tournaments to gain entry to the WSOP. The buy-in for Super Satellite Tournaments is higher than that of regular Satellite Tournaments, because you will be starting closer to the finish line, as winning will grant entry into the WSOP Main Event. Regular Satellite Tournaments require more wins to obtain entry to the WSOP Main Event.

Among the online poker rooms offering Satellite and Super Satellite buy-ins are Betfred Poker and Manchester United Poker. There are several Tournaments you can buy-into in hopes of making your way to the WSOP Main Event. The lowest buy-in rate for the Tournaments is $1.70 ($1.50 + $.20), with other Tournament buy-ins varying up to $82.00 ($75.00 + $7.00). The buy-in for a Super Satellite Tournament is $375 ($350.00 + $25.00).

Winning the Super Satellite will automatically award the winner a seat at the WSOP Main Event. The prize will include buy-in to the WSOP Main Event, flight costs and accommodations.
