So you can be pretty certain that if you are looking for a seat in a busy and someone is holding a seat, they are genuinely holding the seat, or there will be hell to pay.

This is because in the land based version of the game, everyone has their eyes down watching for their numbers as they are being called. If you distract another player by talking to them, it is not good manners, they could miss a number and lose the game because of this.
